Real estate market Höfe-March-Einsiedeln: Prices for residential property have risen by up to 300 percent since 2000.

One thing is certain: single-family homes and condominiums from Wollerau, Freienbach, Feusisberg and Lachen to Einsiedeln are still extremely sought-after. Accordingly, transaction prices in all municipalities and segments are at new record levels, with a break in this trend in that Real Estate prices are now moving sideways due to rising interest rates. However, the supply ratios remain very low and are massively below the threshold value of 6 percent, up to which real estate markets are considered to be intact and efficient.

Prices almost tripled

Upmarket condominiums and the few detached houses coming onto the market now cost up to CHF 22,000 per square meter of living space in the Höfe region, around 30 percent less in Einsiedeln. This constellation is also reflected in building land prices, which are over CHF 3,000 per square meter in good locations in the Höfe district and around half that in Einsiedeln. In general, transaction prices have almost tripled since the turn of the millennium, both for detached houses and condominiums.
