From market value to handover: what a professional does

The services of a professional estate agent begin with a market-consistent valuation based on our own market data and the definition of a pricing strategy. Broker checklist

Put your property in the right hands. An estate agent is not automatically the right one. Check its quality before you sign a brokerage contract. Our broker checklist will help you with this:

  1. Check his education, diplomas, references and concrete proof of success. Find out what kind of real estate training the employee in question has.
  1. Check his local market knowledge.
  1. Ask him about his personal network of contacts and what marketing mix he would use to sell your property.
  1. Ask notaries, banks or lawyers about the reputation of the estate agent.

  1. Inquire in detail about the type of compensation. You should not get the cheapest, but the best seller for your property.
  2. Clarify whether he is a member of the SVIT or the Swiss Chamber of Real Estate Agents and whether he bears the logo on his correspondence.
