From farming to marketing – Andrina’s journey at Ginesta
Andrina started her journey at Ginesta on 1. December 2021 as Real Estate manager. In this role, she managed a diverse portfolio of properties ranging from apartment buildings to luxury detached houses. The challenge of reconciling the needs of numerous private owners and tenants while gaining her first management experience with an assistant was particularly formative for her. The diversity of the objects and the juggling of priorities made the job exciting, but also challenging.

After a good year, she realized that the heavy workload was no longer in line with her long-term professional goals. The desire to continue working in the real estate industry, but with a stronger focus on consulting and project work, led her to make an internal switch to marketing. From the 1. Since April 2023, she has worked in the lettings team as a real estate consultant for initial lettings and re-lettings. Here she quickly discovered her passion for project-based work and appreciated the wide range of tasks from planning to implementation. The direct contact with prospective tenants and owners as well as the organization and support of first letting projects were particularly enriching for her.

A conscious time-out – working on the AlpArosa

After a total of 14 years in the real estate industry, Andrina decided to take an unusual career break and spend a winter season working in gastronomy at AlpArosa. The decision matured over several years until she finally made the decision last winter during a visit to Arosa: it was now or never.
Working on the alp was a welcome change for her. Instead of mental work and long-term projects, the focus here was on providing direct service to guests. They were particularly impressed by the intensive teamwork – in the catering industry, every single step is essential for the smooth running of the day. This experience showed her once again how important mutual support, appreciation and team spirit are. A culture that she would also like to integrate more strongly into her everyday working life at Ginesta.

Flexibility as an employer – the opportunity to take time out

Such a sabbatical is not always easy to negotiate, but Ginesta was flexible. Although a regular termination was initially on the cards, a solution was found after talks: A new contract and a transfer to the new-build sales division were made possible. This underlines the fact that Ginesta is also prepared to actively shape individual careers.

New start in new-build sales – what does the future hold?

From the 1. Andrina returns to marketing on May 2025, but with a new focus: the marketing of new-build projects. She is looking forward to working in a familiar team, expanding her expertise and taking on new challenges. She finds the combination of consulting, creative design and organization particularly exciting. She is particularly fascinated by the opportunity to be part of a project from the very beginning and to accompany its development through to marketing.

What remains of your time on the alp?

Andrina’s time in Arosa was a valuable experience that left a lasting impression on her. She has realized that work is not everything and that a good balance is essential to stay motivated and committed in the long term. It also reinforced their appreciation of flexibility in working life – be it through working hours, home office options or individual career paths.
