Switzerland’s sixth-largest city has grown from just under 104,000 to over 120,000 inhabitants in the last ten years. This is hardly surprising when you consider the ever-increasing attractiveness of the former industrial city, which has developed into a valued center for services, education, culture and leisure. With the revitalization of the former industrial areas, a colourful second central district has developed, the city has above-average green spaces, is considered the most bicycle-friendly city in the country and was awarded the Wakker Prize for exemplary protection of the townscape by the Swiss Heritage Society in 1989 for its charming residential quarters as well as the spacious and car-free old town.
The city, which is one of the most attractive economic regions in Switzerland, is a prosperous place to work and live. Just like the green and rural region around it, which offers a high quality of life with its much more relaxed pace compared to the greater Zurich area. All of this makes Winterthur an ideal market for Ginesta, which we want to help shape as part of the local commercial landscape.
Accordingly, we’ve launched with a full three-person team that’s already well-coordinated, led by Mirjam Fehr, who is actively supported by Real Estate consultant Alice Zurflüh and assistant Nhu Ai Duong. To bring the entire Ginesta service offering—including professional appraisals, initial leasing, and support for new construction projects—to Winterthur right from the start, in addition to the traditional Sales of all types of existing properties, we can draw on the relevant Ginesta centers of expertise, which serve all branch offices.
Our Winterthur team looks forward to your visit. The office is open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
Be sure to also read the interview with Mirjam Fehr, our Head of Brokerage in Winterthur, and find out why you, in particular, are the perfect fit for this challenging role in this green cycling city.
