How much is a property worth? This is a crucial question when handing over a property to the younger generation. What is a fair price for a daughter or son to pay their parents to buy their own home? In the event of an inheritance, how much does one heir have to pay the other heir if they want to take over the house? And how much tax is due after a transaction?
Valuation
First and foremost, therefore, is the question of valuation. The choice of valuation method should not be underestimated. For example, it plays a major role whether any utilization reserves are included in the valuation. In such a case, it is quite possible that a community of heirs will decide to sell the property to the highest bidder.
Property gains tax
The property gains tax due in the event of a sale must be taken into account. Here too, the value of the property plays a decisive role.
