[objektbeschreibung] => This holiday house or permanent residence is located quietly in the treasured residential estate known as ‘Dählenwald’, or Dählen Woods, lightly elevated on a beautiful southern-facing slope above the Lake of Davos. The Dählen Woods, set on a rise above Wolfgang, between the world-renowned spa destinations of Davos and Klosters, can only be described as very idyllic and peaceful. In the wintertime the house profits from the cross-country skiing tracks and two ski slopes which pass by in the immediate vicinity.
This house, which was built in 1962, reminds one strongly of the mid-century modern movement in the USA, which made Palm Springs so famous. It was the American reflection of the international Bauhaus style, influenced by the Brazilian and Scandinavian of the day architecture. Many of these identifying stylistic elements can be found in this house.
The house is currently divided into two separate living units, which could be easily combined to create a single detached house with 180 m2 of living space. The very open design allows, even in its current configuration, for a vast variety of usage possibilities and the provision of individualized quality of life. Both storeys have their own large terraces, which receive ample sunlight, with a thoroughly charming view through the trees to the lake, and further over Davos and the Landwasser Valley.
