Chur Rhine Valley: Real estate prices continue to rise! A house or a condominium remains at the top of the wish list for many residents of Graubünden. This is no different in the Rhine Valley around Chur, as evidenced by the unrelenting demand for home ownership. Since the turn of the millennium, sales prices per square meter of living space have doubled in many places, yet a reversal of this trend is not expected.

“The appeal of the Chur Rhine Valley remains strong. We therefore expect prices for residential property to continue to rise, although transaction prices are already at an above-average level.”

Currently, luxury condominiums in the four municipalities of the Bündner Herrschaft and in four of the five municipalities in and around Landquart (with the exception of Untervaz) are selling for around CHF 7,500 per square meter of living space. In Chur, a high-end condominium costs CHF 9,000 per square meter, while in the Imboden region, the price is at least CHF 6,000. For mid-range single-family homes, prices in the Bündner Herrschaft are just under CHF 8,000, while in the Landquart region they range from CHF 7,000 to CHF 8,500. In Chur, upscale single-family homes change hands for around CHF 10,000, while in the Imboden region, sales prices range from CHF 6,000 to CHF 8,000 per square meter of living space. For luxury properties, prices are sometimes significantly higher across all segments and municipalities.
