She comes from Bad Ragaz and still spends a lot of time in the region with family and friends. Over twenty years ago, the Hohmeister family launched the largest open-air sculpture exhibition in Switzerland and they are still its owners today: Bad Ragartz is the name of the well-known exhibition that attracts art lovers from near and far every three years. After training as a 3D polydesigner, Carla worked as a stage design assistant at Zurich Opera House and continued her education at the Banff Center for the Arts in Canada in the 1990s. Today she lives as a freelance artist with her partner and two children in Dietikon.

Rare motifs full of power
Carla Hohmeister pays homage to her original homeland with her mountain pictures. And she does so with the strength of the strong woman she has become and at the same time with almost archaic exuberance. With colors outside the expected spectrum for these motifs and contrasts that break through the usual harmony of nature pictures and thus get the thoughts going without wanting to be confrontational. Very aesthetic, not very authentic. A well-dosed and desired alienation that makes you forget time if you allow yourself to fall under its spell and accept the effect.

Ginesta – a perfect match
The pictures selected for our exhibition, which have only been shown to the public once before, at the Bickel Museum in Walenstadt, are an ideal representation of the Ginesta world. With our offices in the lowlands and in the mountains, with our classic approach to real estate marketing, which we have combined with the latest digital technologies, and with our strong sense of beauty in life: Carla’s pictures are like a translation of the Ginesta core into art. With different shades and intensities, just as our employees do. And so everyone here at Obere Wiltisgasse 52 in Küsnacht has a personal favorite that catches the eye a little longer than the others as you pass by.

Open to art lovers
You can decide for yourself which of the pictures is your favorite. The pictures will be on display at Ginesta’s headquarters until December 2023. And if you particularly like one of the works, it could soon be hanging in your home.

Off to the mountains – in Küsnacht

Current art exhibition at the Ginesta headquarters: Carla Hohmeister

The renowned artist Carla Hohmeister, who has become known far beyond the country’s borders for her portraits and sculptural art, is currently exhibiting a selection of her mountain paintings at the Ginesta headquarters in Küsnacht.
