So it is only natural that we all have an opinion on what is being built. And there are as many opinions as there are people. Nevertheless, at the end of the day, someone has to decide what can and cannot be built. There are hard factors such as statics, noise protection and environmental regulations. But there are also soft factors, such as the question of whether a project fits into its surroundings or not. This is where the infamous article \u00a7 238 PBG comes into play in the canton of Zurich, the so-called &#8220;classification article&#8221;. It states that everything that is built should fit into its surroundings in such a way that at least a &#8220;satisfactory overall effect&#8221; is achieved.
