Residential zones are typically classified based on restrictions regarding the type, height, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginesta.ch\/de\/magazin\/glossar\/geschossflaeche\" onclick=\"window.open(this.href, '', 'resizable=no,status=no,location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,fullscreen=no,scrollbars=yes,dependent=no'); return false;\">floor area of the <\/a>buildings that may be built within them. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Switzerland, there are three residential-only zones: W1 (single-story residential buildings), W2 (two-story residential buildings), and W3 (three-story residential buildings).
